The title is taken from a Marie Curie quote, scientist and Nobel Prize honoree, “Nothing in life is to be feared, it is only to be understood. Now is the time to understand more, so that we may fear less.”

    In this fun-filled and hands-on workshop, participants will create woven soap dishes using a tension tray technique, an ancient basketry method for making flat woven forms. You’ll also learn the basics of seven-strand kumihimo braiding, a traditional Japanese braiding technique used to create decorative and functional cords.
